The Keeley is very transparent and brings out the magic when stacked with reverb Delay and especially overdrive. I just got a good deal on a deep six to try out. I Do remember a few people saying it wasn't that good. WebAs usual Ovnilab has relevant compressor advice. But now I have it right at the end of my chain and it just stays on the whole time, even when e.g. overdrive is on, because I need to quickly click that on and off in the middle of songs. I have a relatively simple board, though: Tuner -> Overdrive -> Chorus -> Phaser -> Compressor.
